What steps should the State Legislature take to ensure a quality education for students?

The State should be auditing the performance and success of each student, teacher, and school. All curriculum should be focused and establishing basic skills in the early years to establish a firm foundation upon which to build. A return to basics and reintroducing advanced courses such as American History, State History, Economics, Problems in American Democracy, etc. All other non-essential courses and subjects should be removed. Teachers should not be teaching any personal or political agenda. Schools are for educating children to produce logical, critical thinking, productive members of society.

What, if any, should be the role of the State Legislature in the regulation of data centers?

No data centers near animal sanctuaries, zoos, shelters, or habitats. No centers in neighborhoods, or anywhere that pollutes or disturbs our natural environment and/or peoples. There needs to be more information and studies regarding these data centers and what impact these centers have. I understand that there is speculation that these centers would be best situated in space where the temperature is more conducive to their function and thereby eliminate any negative impact to people, animals, or environment, The primary job of the Legislature is to execute the will of the People and to keep all of our People safe while protecting and preserving our State.

What is something that you would like to accomplish during the next legislative session?

Introduce legislation that: Protects established neighborhoods Preserves natural habitats Increases and establishes severe punishments for those convicted of animal cruelty No state income or property tax Cap/eliminate the property tax Property tax can only be assessed for the amount paid for the home/property Mandatory jail time and no bail for those suspected/convicted of crimes against women, children or trafficking and no parole for violent offenders convicted of these crimes.

What do you think the State Legislature should do about the affordability crisis facing Tennesseans

Lower costs and increase wages through better education and employment opportunities. Increase supply. Support Tennessee businesses. Cut/cap taxes.
