My goal is to continue showing up—consistently and intentionally—for our students, families, and staff to make sure their voices are not just heard, but reflected in the decisions we make on their behalf.

That means creating real, ongoing opportunities for engagement—spaces where we can have open, honest conversations grounded in accurate, transparent academic data. People deserve clear information and a seat at the table, and I’m committed to making sure both are non-negotiables.

At the same time, I will continue to advocate aggressively at the state and federal levels for equitable funding that truly meets the needs of all of our students—especially those in underserved communities who have been asked to do more with less for far too lo

By consistently showing up for my community and listening more than I speak to get a full understanding about the issues that are most important to our families. Continuing to hold space to engage families in a way that feels safe and they feel heard.

My interest in education began as a mother that understood that education is a partnership between parents, students and educators. I joined the PTO's at my children's schools to ensure that I was able to support and advocate for them and their teachers as needed. Followed by being asked to join several MNPS parent groups to advocate for all parents, and finally to the school board where I spend my time advocating for all of our students and families as the Legislative Liaison for the Board of Education. This provides an opportunity for me to speak directly with law makers about the impact of their decisions on students and families before a law is passed.
