In District 8 the overwhelming number of residences no idea who their commissioners were. Secondly, a county commissioner is obligated to vote the will of the people and be of, by, and for the people they represent. That can’t be accomplished if the commissioners do not play an active role in the district they represent. I will be that county commissioner for District 8 when elected by the people of district 8. I have over 40 years combined public service as a law enforcement officer at the local and state level. In this capacity I have served and protected the people of the State of Tennessee, Sullivan County and District 8 proudly. I have five advanced degrees with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis.

As commissioner of district 8 I will make sure that the people know me, know about me and further I will get to know them so that I will better understand their needs as a resident. I will further have an open-door policy for anyone who needs my assistance for issues they may need. I then will have several ways anyone in district 8 can contact me to voice an opinion or concern and I will then contact them back (a very important part of this issue) and let them know who I contacted and what I was able to find out about their concern. I will have an online form by which the people can go a see exactly what is coming before the county commission so that the people can become much more involved in what is being voted on by the commission.
