For nearly 30 years, I worked in corporate and not-for-profit government relations, public affairs, and communications where I gained firsthand experience navigating legislative processes, analyzing public policy, building consensus among diverse stakeholders, and solving complex problems. This involved working closely with elected officials, state and federal agencies, businesses, trade associations, and community leaders, giving me a strong understanding of how government decisions affect citizens, taxpayers, and local communities. I also worked early on within state government.
I have also been an active citizen advocate and held numerous volunteer and publicly appointed leadership positions at the local, state, and national levels.
