How will you ensure the needs of the Montgomery County community are reflected in the annual budget?
Throughout my first term serving on the Montgomery County Commission I have supported appropriations that are necessary for ensuring county departments are funded in order to provide public services that residents of Montgomery County rely on every day. In accordance with ensuring our community has the monetary means needed in order to function, I continue to advocate against property tax increases-including unnecessary annual budgetary tax adjustments-in order to help protect the hard earned income of our residents throughout Montgomery County. We are a growing, family-oriented community, and making fiscally responsible decisions is vital in order for our community to prosper and have a vibrant future.
What infrastructure improvement projects would you prioritize to improve the day-to-day life of Clarksville residents?
I'm proud to have played a role in helping Clarksville-Montgomery County expand our health care sector, bringing three new hospitals to our community (TriStar, Ascension St. Thomas, and Vanderbilt Health) that will improve the day-to-day health and wellness of our rapidly growing population. Now, I plan to shift my focus to prioritizing infrastructure expansion projects on Trenton Road and Spring Creek Parkway. With the growing rate of traffic throughout Clarksville-Montgomery County it is imperative that these projects are focused on in order to keep up with the demands the community calls for. By improving our thoroughfares will help to accommodate traffic flow, and ensure daily convenience on our roadways.
