Candidate- Why I’m proud to announce my candidacy for re-election as the Republican nominee for District 1 County Commissioner. For 17 years, I’ve served Montgomery County with responsible leadership, fiscal discipline, and results. Since 2009, I’ve served on the Budget Committee and as Mayor Pro-Tem, protecting taxpayer dollars, supporting schools, and improving infrastructure and quality of life. I helped recruit LG Chem, Hankook, and Google, supported Civitan Park’s expansion, and backed F&M Bank Arena funding without raising property taxes. I remain a strong advocate for Fort Campbell, veterans, first responders, and public safety. Born and raised in Clarksville, I’m ready to keep serving District 1 with proven leadership and commitment.

How will you ensure the needs of the Montgomery County community are reflected in the annual budget?

I’ll ensure Montgomery County’s budget reflects community needs by listening first, prioritizing essential services, and protecting taxpayer dollars. That means engaging residents, schools, first responders, veterans, local businesses, and county departments before key budget decisions are made. I will continue using my Budget Committee experience to support responsible spending, long-term planning, infrastructure improvements, public safety, and quality-of-life investments while avoiding unnecessary tax burdens. A strong budget should reflect the priorities of the people it serves, and I will work to keep District 1’s voice at the table.

What infrastructure improvement projects would you prioritize to improve the day-to-day life of Clarksville residents?

I would prioritize projects that reduce traffic congestion, improve road safety, and support responsible growth. That includes widening key corridors, improving intersections, maintaining neighborhood roads, expanding sidewalks, and strengthening drainage and stormwater systems. I would also focus on infrastructure that supports schools, first responders, and economic development so growth does not outpace essential services. Clarksville residents deserve safer commutes, better connectivity, and improvements that make daily life easier while protecting taxpayers through careful planning and disciplined budgeting.
