I grew up working on a family farm and served on active duty as an Army tank commander and armor officer. I spent over 20 years leading businesses in the global technology sector and then served two years in the Idaho legislature. For the last 10 years I've taught public policy. Together, these experiences in the military, business, academia and state government give me the perspective to represent Idahoan's priorities in the U.S. Senate.

I have two priorities: (1) Reform Congress so that it functions again as our Founders intended, which includes passing term limits, restricting money in elections and prohibiting gerrymandering and congressional member stock trading. (2) Second, address America’s economic inequality and wealth concentration that is destroying our middle class. My priorities include a more aggressive application of our antitrust laws to break up monopolies and restore competition in technology, agriculture and healthcare industries, among others. I will also work to modernize our antitrust and consumer protection laws to prohibit the sort of algorithmic price fixing and surveillance pricing that is becoming commonplace.

One of the most significant challenges Idaho faces is that too many residents are struggling to make ends meet. I frequently hear from Idahoans that, ‘I am making more but earning less.’ Despite our strong economy, 60% of workers do not earn a livable wage, over 100,000 have lost health insurance, and housing in cities like Boise and Coeur d’Alene ranks among the least affordable in the nation. Additionally, companies are leveraging our shopping and browsing data to charge more, adding further pressure on families. These economic pressures are compounded by rapid population growth, which strains housing, transportation, and public services, as well as disparities in education and workforce opportunities between urban and rural areas.

I am running as an independent because politics has become too divisive. The challenge before us is not left versus right, but top versus bottom, and those on the inside versus the rest of us. I will work with other Senate independents to build an independent caucus that acts as a fulcrum between the two parties. We will deny a majority to either political party and use the leverage to break the grip of the parties and reform Congress. Idahoans from Boundary County to Bear Lake, and from Canyon County to Clark, are ready for a new politics and the restoration of a government of, by, and for the people.

My Education; A Lifelong Idaho resident, I struggled frugally alongside my neighbors. I transferred school every year k-9 building strong, but conservative approaches, I focus on listening to the concerns of others & taking meaningful action. As a type 1 diabetic, I know too well about the struggles we face financially. I value our second amendment rights, and believe in term limits and addressing the immediate needs of healthcare & affordability for all Idahoans, As a millennial with a Master’s degree from the University of Idaho and 4 bachelor’s I’m more qualified than the incumbent, our third eldest member of congress. I served our country in uniform, and I saw up close what happens when Washington makes decisions without thinking about the real people they affect. Idaho families are feeling the pinch from higher prices, more federal rules, and decisions made by folks in D.C. who have never set foot in our communities. Our farmers, ranchers, and small businesses face uphill battles—big corporations and government policies make it harder to stay afloat, and too many good jobs are going overseas. On top of that, Washington keeps trying to run our land and resources from thousands of miles away. Idaho feeds the country and keeps the lights on in the West. It’s time Washington let us do our job without interference.

From a monk to an accomplished builder, and from father to businessman, my life fills a book, literally. My experiences in interstate commerce and complex contract negotiations prepared me for office. My journey of growth, healing, and personal development prepared me for office. My triumphs and failures as a husband and father prepared me for office. It seems to me, above all else, we need men and women who are truly "of the people" to represent us in DC. Americans who have not been bought and paid for by K street lobbying firms, Big Tech, the military industrial complex, and Big Healthcare.

I'd like to end reckless spending. This includes reforming healthcare to bring radical transparency along with sensible pricing and maximum markups. It includes attacking waste in agencies, September Surges, and waste in the military. I'd also like to raise the pay of enlisted soldiers/airmen and end the various ways they are being defrauded. I also plan to address the imbalance in state governance caused by the egregious judicial overreach in the Reynolds v Sims decision. Further, I would like to see PILT reform, such as permanent funding and allocation based on land rather than apportionment.

The most significant challenge Idaho faces is continued American "political refugees" moving in and further stressing our housing supply and infrastructure. By challenging and overturning Reynolds v Sims and other judicial activism we can course correct the nation and help people bloom where they are planted.

Senator Risch will be 83 at the time of the primary. He's been in office for over 50 years. He's independently wealthy. He's been in the Senate for 18 years and accomplished very little. All these factors make him dramatically out of touch with everyday Idahoans.

I was born six years after Risch first entered elected office. I've overcome a good deal of adversity. My wife and I have raised six sons here in Idaho. I've started and grown a world class business. I've stayed up late figuring out how to make payroll. I know the problems everyday Idahoans are facing because they are the same problems my family faces and I want to do something about it.

First and foremost, we must stop the insanity of the Iran War. No troops should be sent to engage in Iran in another "forever war". We are on the verge of stepping off the cliff and threatening to kill or maim 100s of 1000s of Iranian civilians in a conflict they did not start.

We must restore economic sanity to our federal budget. The military budget should be lowered, not raised. Medicare and Medicaid cuts by the Republicans should be restored and then expanded.

Healthcare is a right, so Universal healthcare should become a reality.

Women's rights to body autonomy should be codified once and for all time. In 2026, it astounds me this is still being argued about. Women are equal to men, and always have been

The economy. With food prices soaring and the cost of fuel rising, the economy is priority #1. The Iran War must stop for the economy to improve, so stopping that conflict temporarily makes it more important.

Healthcare is very important now that Medicare and Medicaid cuts are in effect. We must restore AND expand those benefits to help more Idahoans. Especially mental health programs that have been butchered.

Education needs to be funded more in Idaho as we are losing qualified teachers and schools need repairs. Free lunch summer school programs for our kids should be expanded year round.

The environment needs to be protected from poisoning the land and water in Idaho. NO LAND SWAPS to allow Idaho to sell pristine land to billionaires.

This is the most important election in our lives. Democracy itself is at stake. With Trump acting like a King, the Senate should be acting like a common sense guardrail, not as a good ol' boys club.

I don't own stock, so any vote I would make as a Senator would not benefit me financially. I will work with Republicans to end the partisan bickering about being a red or blue state. We are all Americans, we need to come together and work for the benefit of ALL Americans, not just for an entitled few.

We need to restore civility in our political discussions. While at the same time, we hold our elected officials accountable.

I have spent much of my life working to solve problems in our communities. I have served on numerous non-profit boards related to substance use, youth, food insecurity, and housing. I believe our communities already have great ideas for solving problems in their own neighborhoods, and we need leaders who understand and support those initiatives.

I am a strong supporter of Medicare for All and believe that healthcare is a fundamental challenge that we need to face head-on as a nation. The half-measures have failed us. I also support congressional reforms such as term limits and ending Citizens United. The challenges facing our communities due to our broken immigration system must be solved with comprehensive immigration reform that treats all with dignity and recognizes the important role that immigrants have in our community and economy. I want to reduce costs for things like healthcare and housing.

Idaho faces a crisis in healthcare right now. Our rural areas are losing hospitals and clinics and without direct action we risk becoming a healthcare desert. This should be a top priority. Our agricultural economy depends on immigrant labor, and the current disruptions and uncertainty threaten the livelihoods of many Idahoans. And finally, we must have a strong commitment to protecting the public lands that are so integral to our Idaho way of life.

I have an engineering degree and an MBA. I’ve spent my 20-year career as a leader in traditional heavy manufacturing. I have a family background in farming and nuclear energy. There aren’t many working age Americans left with these skills. Most farms, sawmills, machine shops, mines and manufacturers have closed or consolidated. Idaho needs this experience. Farm consolidation and offshoring has stripped our state of much of its can-do culture. Our state needs a leader who understands the parts of the economy that we are so desparate to rebuild. Although not in elected office, my experience in manufacturing is some the most intensive political experience available.

I will fight federal regulation and defend states rights. Idahoans must be able to provide for their families. Regulation has shutdown farmers, ranchers, loggers and miners who rely of BLM and National Forest land. It has hamstrung manufacturers and residential contractors. Every aspect of our economy has seen a loss of capability in the last 30 years due to federal regulations. Our schools are struggling. Our teenagers can’t afford cars or insurance. Our farms are consolidating. Prices are out of control for everything. The only solution anyone offers is more loans. It is time to tackle the root of the problem. If we don’t get the working men and women of this country some help they will turn to socialism in desperation.

With 62% of our state as federal land, we are uniquely vulnerable to the whims of federal agencies and changes in presidential leadership. We must fight this at all cost’s.

My wife and I are the original family values advocates. We are life long Christians with 4 children ages 9-17. Many times we have struggled to know how to raise kids in the modern world. I know this is a struggle many of you have shared with my wife and I. Our children need protected. They need trained in our values and culture and faith. We must fight to protect our families at all cost. This is the first, and most important step in rebuilding this great nation of ours. Somehow we must find a way to come along side our communities, churches, schools and teachers to turn our children into the men and women that we need them to be.
