Why are you running for a board seat? What strengths or talents especially qualify you for that role?

1. To continue to serve our community in new ways and be a bridge between our community and the school district.

2. To work on a team that shares a passion for education for our students and make an impact on student outcomes and futures.

3. Use my experience in business to help provide strategic leadership.

What are the most positive characteristics or qualities of the school district — ones that support student academic achievement and personal development? What are the opportunities for improvement?

Vicksburg Community Schools is strong academically, with support for students at every level. Our family has experienced caring, dedicated staff who work with parents to help kids succeed. VCS also offers outstanding opportunities in AP, technical trades, athletics, and fine arts that help prepare students for long-term success.

Communication: Create consistent platforms and standards so students and parents receive timely, clear information. Maintenance: Address unfinished projects promptly to protect safety and staff morale. Safety: Strengthen safety goals, address bullying concerns, and transparently communicate how incidents are monitore

What actions will you take to promote further parental or community involvement in schools?

I will continue to try to be a listener to the community and be a bridge to the school in both directions.

What are the most important safety issues facing our schools? How should the board address them?

I believe the most important safety issue is to make sure we are addressing each and every occurrence that happens and making these occurrences more transparent to the community while at the same time maintaining personal privacy of the minors involved in the incidents.
