Are you currently a school board member?
No
How many school board meetings did you attend last year? (Either as a resident or school
board member)
Candidate has not yet responded.
What are your top priorities, if elected?
Parents rights and communication.
If elected, what specific strengths would you bring to the board table?
I was an engineer in the automotive industry for 25years. I am an organized professional with common sense. I can easily identify and eliminate waste and offer solutions to real problems.
If elected, what are your budget priorities for school programs, and would you seek new
sources of revenue for them?
Eliminate waste and measure success of dollars being spent, and not just throwing money at programs that don't accomplish what it's stated purpose does.
How would you define educational equity?
Equity is a Marxist term I do not agree with. I've grown up supporting equality of opportunity for all and still support that.
If elected, what initiatives will you support to enrich the quality of life for all students within
your district?
Actually try to measure effectiveness of programs. If something is not producing it's stated goal, one must reflect and try something better.
If elected, what would you do to ensure staff and students are safe in school?
I want an environment where children can prosper and teachers can facilitate that success. I will listen to all parties involved and determine the trade-offs.
If elected, what will you do to ensure communicating with your office is easy for a resident?
That will be a huge goal of mine. I am not one to avoid conversation with rational thought. Social media accounts is a great way to communicate with the community and get ideas and feedback.
What else would you like to share with us?
There are many issues with the public education system and I hope I can make improvements that will benefit students, staff, parents and the community.
