Please describe your priorities for your term in office and your specific qualifications to effectively address those issues.

Healthcare access and affordability is my top priority, including expansion of Medicaid and Badgercare. As the recipient of a lifesaving heart transplant, I know firsthand how difficult it is for families to get the care they need and deserve, especially as politicians put special interests above the people they're supposed to serve. I will work tirelessly to ensure that every Wisconsinite receives the healthcare they need to live life to the fullest.

Cost of living is another priority for me. We need affordable housing, affordable childcare, lower costs of everyday essentials, and a property tax moratorium to bring costs down throughout the state. Our young families are the future of Wisconsin, and we need to do everything we can to attract and retain them to build a brighter future for our state.

I will protect reproductive rights, invest in public safety, strengthen public education, and work to legalize cannabis to create a better way of life for all Wisconsinites.

What do you see as the most pressing housing-related issue in Wisconsin, and what policies, if any, would you support to address the issue?

Housing affordability and out-of-control property taxes are central to cost-of-living issues in our state and throughout the country. I would propose a property tax moratorium and work to hold accountable out-of-state corporate landlords.

What redistricting process, if any, do you believe the legislature should put in place before the next national census to ensure fair representation for voters?

We should have a nonpartisan redistricting commission that is not beholden to either party and is accessible for public input. Voters should pick their politicians rather than politicians picking their voters, and a nonpartisan commission is the only way to achieve this.

What initiatives, if any, would you support to promote environmental sustainability in Wisconsin?

Ridding our drinking water of PFAS is important. Our Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewer District should make recycling bins free instead of charging for them to increase rates of recycling.

What, if anything, will you do to ensure our schools have the resources to improve outcomes for its students, including those with disabilities?

We need to invest money in our public schools rather than for-profit voucher schools that get to pick their own students. Public education should be guaranteed for every child in our state, and the money should not be diverted to voucher schools. If people want to send their children to private schools, they should pay for it themselves.
