What qualifications and experience do you bring to this office?

I’ve called Germantown home for over 20 years, and my husband and I raised our three kids right here in GMSD. I’ve spent 21 years volunteering in our schools—PTA, PTO, you name it—so I’ve really seen our district from the inside. I also have a degree in Elementary Education and currently work as a Realtor, which has given me experience in budgeting, problem-solving, and working with people every day. I care deeply about our schools because they’ve been such a big part of my family’s life.

What do you see as the top two issues facing this office and how do you plan to address these issues?

The two biggest issues are enrollment and funding. Enrollment impacts everything—from staffing to programs—so we need to continue attracting and retaining families by keeping our schools strong. Funding goes hand-in-hand with that, and I believe it’s critical to work cooperatively with our city administrators to be strategic and responsible with our resources. My focus is making smart decisions that protect the quality of our schools and keep Germantown a place families choose.

How do you plan to involve citizens in the decision making process of this office?

I believe strong schools come from strong community involvement. I plan to be accessible, listen well, and create opportunities for parents and citizens to share input—whether that’s through meetings, community conversations, or simply being present and approachable. I also believe in working collaboratively with school leadership and city administrators so decisions reflect the needs and priorities of our community.
