I have had the privilege to serve as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal within Germantown Municipal School District. I just retired after 30 years in public education. I was the founding principal of Germantown Online Academy of Learning. I am currently serving as chair of the Germantown Education Commission.

I understand the needs of stakeholders. I understand the role of a school board member.

The top two concerns facing members of the Germantown School Board- 1. Ensuring funding at the state and local levels. 2. In the era of school choice, ensuring that GMSD remains competitive.

How I plan to address these issues: - Working collaboratively with both the State and City of Germantown to ensure funding for our district. - Supporting the district in promoting our schools, ensuring the best instructional programs and instructional practices are in place to support student success.

The best way to include stakeholders in the decision making process is by planning collaborative workshops throughout the year to share where the district is in terms of funding, the budget process, promoting the district in the era of school choice, legislation related to public education.
