Candidates for Circuit Judge participate in nonpartisan elections held in even-numbered years. All voters in the county cast votes for candidates in all the judicial races. Races for circuit and county court seats are competitive elections.Circuit Court judges handle most civil and criminal cases in Florida. The circuit courts are courts of general jurisdiction, handling such matters as domestic relations, major criminal offenses, probate issues, civil cases involving amounts greater than $15,000, and appeals from county courts.

I have served on the court for over twenty years, in every division: juvenile, criminal, civil, family, and probate.

I you ever have to come to court, it’s probably going to be one of the most important days of your life. On that day you deserve an experienced judge.
