I believe healthcare is a human right. I will fight for Medicare for All to guarantee comprehensive healthcare coverage for every American. I will work to lower prescription drug prices by allowing Medicare to negotiate directly with pharmaceutical companies, protect and expand access to reproductive healthcare, strengthen community health centers, and invest in preventive care. I will also support measures to address healthcare workforce shortages so patients can receive timely, high quality care. Everyone deserves access to affordable healthcare regardless of their income, employment, or ZIP code.

When I talk to people, they’re not asking for miracles. They want to be able to afford groceries, gas, rent, childcare, healthcare, and retire with dignity. I support Medicare for All, universal childcare, raising wages, strengthening unions, guaranteed paid leave, strengthening Social Security, and a fair tax system. I believe our taxpayer dollars should be invested in infrastructure, education, and healthcare, not used for illegal wars. I will fight for an economy where working people can build stable lives, with good paying union jobs, pathways to homeownership and where public support programs are treated as economic dignity.

Michigan families should never have to choose between reliable energy and clean air, or affordable bills and a livable future. We must protect the Great Lakes, safeguard our air and water, modernize our grid, and invest in clean energy that puts working people first, not corporate profits. That means real accountability when utility companies drive up costs or exploit our communities. I support polluter pays laws ensuring corporations, not taxpayers, cover environmental damage. I oppose AI data centers in Michigan that risk straining our water and energy systems and raising costs for residents, because Michigan is not for sale.

As the daughter of immigrants and an attorney, I believe due process, First Amendment and the Fourth Amendment are rights, not privileges. Free speech and protection from illegal searches and seizures apply to everyone in this country, including noncitizens. Watching masked ICE agents terrorizing our neighbors, separating families and shooting American citizens in the face should alarm everyone. I believe we must abolish ICE and prosecute agents who violate the law. I support immigration reform that is humane, lawful, and consistent with the Constitution.

Too many Michiganders are one medical emergency away from financial ruin. The most urgent step is to restore Trump’s devastating cuts to healthcare. But we need to do more, like lowering prescription drug costs, expanding coverage, and reducing premiums so more Americans can be insured. I strongly support a robust public option as a pathway to universal coverage. This ensures no one goes uninsured while preserving the freedom for those who want to keep their plan negotiated with their employer or union, while driving down costs, expanding access, and holding insurers accountable.

We are facing an affordability crisis, from groceries and gas to healthcare and childcare. Wages are stagnant and the richest Americans are getting more breaks. We must make the basics more affordable. It’s an all and above approach that includes: - Bringing down housing costs - Investing in pre-K and headstart programs - Making healthcare and prescription drugs affordable - Stopping the chaotic tariff policy - Ending the illegal war in Iran driving up gas prices - Standing up to corporate greed and price gouging - Strengthening organized labor, and protecting workers’ rights so everyone benefits from economic growth

We have a moral imperative to make progress towards a clean energy grid, enact strong environmental protections, and prepare our communities for extreme weather events. I led on this work in the Legislature, voting for a 100% clean energy standard and the strongest regulations on data centers in the country that protect our water supply and ensure the costs are not burdened on us as ratepayers. In Congress, we should continue investing in diverse and reliable energy sources, modernize our grid, and strengthen federal protections undermined by the Trump administration.

The cruelty and chaos caused by ICE cannot be repaired or reformed under Donald Trump and the agency must be dismantled. Congress should demand transparency in federal immigration enforcement and hold those who acted illegally to account. I’ve led on legislation to reign in ICE’s terror and stop warrantless raids. We can both secure our border without allowing officers posing as masked vigilantes to erode due process and civil liberties. Americans want an immigration system that is orderly, just, and humane. We must create legal pathways to citizenship for those protected under DACA and revamp the outdated visa system.

I will support and advocate for Medicare for All. For those that say it’s unattainable due to cost, as an experienced administrator, I say show me your budget and I’ll show you your priorities. We made major gains under the Affordable Care Act with expansion of medicaid for the working poor, creation of a healthcare exchange and subsidized premiums; millions of Americans were afforded health. As a father that started a family young, my wife and I know the pain of living without healthcare. In Congress, I will immediately sponsor Medicare for All. I will always refuse all corporate PAC and pharmaceutical money.

I believe we have an affordability crisis in America. It takes longer (age) and costs more for people to buy a home, groceries bills, gas prices are up and cost of living are high; yet wages are not following rising. I have signed the One Fair Wage Pledge which would guarantee a $15 dollar minimum wage, and I will sponsor the Living Wage Act when I get to congress, raising the minimum wage to $25 by 2031. We need good union jobs, and a strong middle class. I will stand with my fellow union workers and support the Pro Act which would effectively make right to work states absolute and keep the middle class strong.

I support the Green New Deal, investments in alternative sources of energy leading to zero emission in ten years. In addition, it affords environmental infrastructure and environmental justice. I was in Flint delivering aid to residents during the water crisis. What occurred to tens of thousands of people was an injustice, and should never happen in America. Investments in infrastructure and environmental justice will help stop these injustices. We must approach data centers with rules of engagement, including not going into communities they are not wanted and not allow them to strain our water resources or energy supply.

As a former Congressional Fellow, I helped work on the Dream Act; a pathway to citizenship for the DACA Kids. The Dream Act didn’t pass, but was recently reintroduced. When I arrive in congress I’ll sponsor the Dream Act, as I believe sensible legislators can get behind a path to citizenship for kids who know no other country than America. Next we find a pathway to citizenship for their parents, and then potential amnesty for the 13 million hardworking, law abiding, contributing undocumented immigrants living in America. This issue is personal to me, as I come from a family of immigrants and have seen several family members deported.

Healthcare is personal to our family. When my wife Rebecca needed a heart transplant, we relied on the Affordable Care Act's protections for pre-existing conditions. Those protections are at risk under Trump.

I'll fight for Medicare for All, and in parallel I'll restore the Affordable Care Act tax credits, protect Medicaid and Medicare funding, and create a public option. I'll also fight to let Medicare negotiate drug prices across the board.

In my campaign and in office, I will refuse to take money from insurance companies raising costs on Michigan families.

I've spent my life building things in Michigan, and I know what it's like to have to make ends meet while raising a family here. I believe that if we build more of the things we need here at home, we can lower costs and create good jobs across the board.

That starts with ending Trump's reckless tariffs, which are raising costs on Michigan families and hurting our manufacturing sector. I'll pass the PRO Act and fight to raise the minimum wage to create fairness for working people.

I'll also build more clean energy to bring down utility costs, and I'll never take money from Utility PACs pushing through rate increases on Michiganders.

At Ford, I led teams that improved fuel and energy efficiency on hybrids and electric vehicles. In the Biden White House, I worked on the Electric Vehicle transition and Battery Workforce Initiative. I'll bring that experience to building more of the clean energy we need and bringing down the cost of energy for Michiganders.

In Congress, I'll fight to restore the Inflation Reduction Act and protect our Great Lakes and natural resources. And I'll never take money from utility PACs, because you can't fight for lower energy costs if you're taking checks from the same companies raising them.

Due process, freedom of speech, and protection from unlawful search and seizure are fundamental rights for everyone in this country, and I will fight to protect them from Donald Trump’s lawless actions. America is a nation of immigrants, and I will fight to protect that identity.

I support abolishing ICE and rebuilding immigration enforcement from the ground up, with comprehensive reform that secures our borders, provides a pathway to legal status for law-abiding undocumented immigrants, and expands legal immigration.

Healthcare should be affordable, accessible, and focused on patients, not insurance company profits. In Congress, I will work to lower prescription drug costs, expand access to primary and mental health care, protect coverage for people with preexisting conditions, and increase competition to reduce costs. I support strengthening community health centers, addressing healthcare workforce shortages, and investing in preventive care so families can stay healthy while spending less on medical expenses.

It shouldn’t be this hard to afford housing, food, healthcare, and childcare when you’re working hard every day. I support policies that raise wages, expand workforce training and skilled trades opportunities, strengthen small businesses, and encourage domestic manufacturing. We must lower costs by increasing housing supply, reducing barriers to economic growth, and making childcare and healthcare more affordable. A strong economy means creating pathways to good-paying jobs while helping families keep more of what they earn.

We need an energy strategy that is reliable, affordable, and responsible. I support an all-of-the-above approach that strengthens our electric grid, invests in next-generation energy technologies, like clean and safe nuclear power, and protects our natural resources, including the Great Lakes. We should encourage innovation, modernize infrastructure, and expand domestic energy production while reducing pollution. Families and businesses deserve dependable energy at reasonable costs, and environmental stewardship must go hand in hand with economic growth.

I am the Mayor of a city that is 31% foreign born; immigration issues hit close to home. The Constitution protects fundamental rights, and due process, free speech, and protections against unreasonable searches and seizures should be respected for everyone within the United States. At the same time, we must maintain secure borders and enforce immigration laws fairly and effectively. I support reforms that improve border security, modernize the legal immigration system, and ensure enforcement actions are conducted consistent with constitutional principles and the rule of law.
