Please describe your priorities for your term in office and your specific qualifications to effectively address those issues.
My top priorities are affordable, accessible childcare, public education, and immigration reform. I plan to build coalitions, advance targeted legislation, and help Wisconsin secure federal funding. I’d advocate to expand childcare support to lower costs and sustain providers; invest in public education, including special education, workforce training, and classroom resources; and modernize immigration systems to reduce backlogs and strengthen lawful workforce pathways. My office will also help local communities access federal grants so investments reach working families.
I grew up poor in a mixed-status family, giving me firsthand understanding of these challenges. As a father of three and the only Spanish-speaking candidate, I bring lived experience, real representation, and a commitment to making government work for families striving for stability and opportunity. I have an MBA with a finance emphasis, and an Associate Director of a college ready program.
What policies, if any, would you support to promote a healthy economy and lower the cost of living for Wisconsinites?
To promote a healthy economy and lower costs, I would prioritize universal, affordable childcare as a core economic policy. Expanding access increases workforce participation, strengthens families, supports business growth, and stabilizes long-term social systems.
My plan includes 20 weeks of fully paid family leave, expanding federal childcare subsidies, and capping childcare costs at 7% of household income. I would invest in childcare centers and reduce red tape in licensing to reduce barriers without compromising safety.
I also support strengthening and making the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit fully refundable, incentivizing employer-provided childcare, expanding nontraditional-hour care, and supporting home-based providers with training and grants. These policies reduce financial strain while building a stronger, more inclusive economy.
What laws, if any, would you change or be in support of to ensure all voters have an equal opportunity to cast their ballot?
I support the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to restore federal protections against discrimination and ensure fair access to the ballot. I also back automatic voter registration to modernize participation and restoring voting rights for formerly incarcerated individuals.
I support independent redistricting commissions to end gerrymandering and expanded language and translation services so all eligible voters can participate fully. I strongly support ranked-choice voting to reduce polarization and encourage broader representation.
Beyond elections, I support transparent institutions, including independent journalism, clear disclosure of funding sources, and safeguards against misinformation and foreign manipulation, so voters can make informed decisions.
What, if anything, will you do to ensure equitable, accessible, and affordable health care services, including reproductive health care (i.e. contraception, IVF, and abortion) for Wisconsinites?
I support extending and strengthening the Affordable Care Act, including improved subsidies and legislation, while pushing toward a Medicare for All policy platform.
I support increasing investments in training new physicians to address shortages, support rural clinics, and protect rural hospitals from closure. I support ensuring reproductive healthcare and comprehensive women’s health services remain accessible, including contraception, IVF, abortion, and including gender affirming care.
I also support promoting transparency and lowering drug prices through investments in innovative financial software tools and stronger negotiations for consumers with pharmaceutical companies. These steps will expand access, reduce costs, and ensure families receive the care they need.
What measures, if any, would you propose to ensure the fair and humane treatment of immigrants and refugees while maintaining national security?
I oppose the current irresponsible immigration enforcement and I support abolishing ICE, ending unlawful searches and arrests, and holding agents accountable when rights are violated. I would advance administrative reforms by increasing immigration judges, expanding work visas in high-demand fields, and modernizing the system to reduce backlogs and reliance on paper-based processes.
We can maintain national security while treating people with dignity by focusing on smart, effective enforcement and strong communities. My approach prioritizes keeping neighborhoods safe while expanding access to mental health care, education, and workforce pathways that help people build stable lives. That includes supporting local law enforcement with clear accountability standards and reducing gun violence through common-sense measures.

We must lower costs, fix public education, protect reproductive rights and defend democracy.
I bring proven, on-the-ground experience delivering results in elected office. As a County Supervisor and now Alderman, I’ve worked directly with constituents to improve public safety, invest in infrastructure, and hold departments accountable. Unlike others in this race, I have a record of winning tough elections and turning community input into real policy outcomes.
Before serving, I ran a nonprofit, owned a small business, and helped families achieve homeownership. This gives me real-world insights into the challenges people face. I’ll bring that same results-driven leadership to DC and ensure we have a representative who actually delivers.
What policies, if any, would you support to promote a healthy economy and lower the cost of living for Wisconsinites?
I support policies that raise wages, reduce everyday costs, and build long-term economic stability. This includes strengthening unions, increasing the minimum wage, and expanding tax relief for middle- and low-income families.
To lower costs, I support measures to reduce prescription drug prices, cap insulin, invest in affordable housing, tuition-free community college, and expand access to childcare. I also support clean energy investments that lower utility bills and create local jobs.
Supporting small businesses through targeted tax credits and access to capital will help grow our economy from the ground up. A strong economy is one where everyone can afford to live, work, and thrive in Wisconsin.

I support expanding access to the ballot to ensure every eligible voter can participate. This includes restoring and expanding early voting, allowing same-day voter registration, and ensuring sufficient polling locations and hours. Election Day should also be a national holiday.
I would support laws to make voting more accessible, such as accepting more forms of voter ID, enabling absentee ballot access without unnecessary barriers, and protecting drop box availability.
I also support automatic voter registration and measures to prevent partisan gerrymandering. Fair maps and accessible elections are essential to a functioning democracy, and every Wisconsinite deserves an equal voice.

I will work to ensure all Wisconsinites have access to affordable, high-quality healthcare. This includes expanding Medicaid, lowering prescription drug costs, and strengthening rural healthcare systems.
I strongly support protecting reproductive freedom, including access to contraception, IVF, and safe, legal abortion. These decisions belong to patients and their healthcare providers and not politicians.
I will advocate for policies that address disparities in care, invest in mental health services, and ensure coverage is comprehensive and equitable. Healthcare is a human right, and no one should have to choose between their health and financial stability.

I support a humane, fair immigration system that respects human dignity while maintaining public safety. This includes ensuring due process, keeping families together, and investing in efficient, well-resourced immigration courts.
I support pathways to legal status for long-term residents, including Dreamers, and policies that allow immigrants to contribute fully to our economy. No human is illegal.
At the same time, I support smart, targeted border management and modern security strategies that focus on real threats and not blanket enforcement targeting residents. Welcoming immigrants and refugees strengthens our communities, the economy, and shared future while upholding American values.
