The two biggest challenges facing Florida are the rising cost of living and protecting our public schools. Too many families are struggling with housing, insurance, and everyday expenses, while our schools face funding shortages and teacher retention issues.
In my first six months, I will support legislation to lower property insurance costs, increase affordable housing options, and provide tax relief for working families. I will also fight for increased public school funding, better teacher pay, and policies that ensure every student has access to a high-quality education, regardless of their ZIP code.

If proof of citizenship becomes required, I would support free access to birth certificates and other necessary documents, especially for seniors, veterans, low-income residents, rural communities, and naturalized citizens. I would also support mobile and local assistance programs, extended office hours, and secure verification through existing government records whenever possible. I would work to ensure women can easily obtain the documents they need, especially those whose names have changed through marriage or divorce.
That means reducing or waiving fees for birth and marriage certificates, streamlining the document retrieval process, and expanding access through local government offices.

I support expanding workforce housing programs, incentivizing the construction of affordable and mixed-income housing, and protecting funds dedicated to housing initiatives.
For renters, I support strengthening tenant protections and expanding rental assistance programs. For prospective homeowners, I support down payment assistance and first-time homebuyer programs.

I support access to abortion in cases of rape, incest, threats to the life or health of the mother, severe fetal abnormalities, and other circumstances where a woman, in consultation with her physician, determines it is the best medical decision.

I support restoring a stronger balance by respecting local decision-making on issues such as housing, transportation, and community development, while maintaining statewide standards where appropriate.

I support protecting Medicaid coverage for eligible residents, increasing access to mental health services, and improving healthcare affordability through greater transparency and competition. We must also invest in healthcare workforce development to ensure Floridians can access timely, quality care regardless of their income or ZIP code.
