Experience and Qualifications
Diana Moreno has spent years organizing alongside working families in Queens, fighting for tenants’ rights, immigrant communities, labor protections, and affordable housing. Before serving in the Assembly, she worked as a union organizer and community advocate, including with the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) and New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE), helping connect residents with resources and build collective power around issues affecting Astoria and Long Island City. As Assemblymember, she continues to work closely with local organizations, schools, small businesses, labor unions, and community groups across the district.
