Qualifications in Brief Board of Zoning Appeals, Small Business Owner, Real Estate Profession, Real Estate Investor, Neurosurgery Sales Representative for 15 yrs
race Black

What qualifies you for this office?

At the local hospitals, I have worked in high-intensity, high-stress environments where life-changing decisions are made as a Neurological Sales Representative for 15 years. This one job, I had to be perfect every time or it could cost someone their life. I also work in Real Estate, where I assist people with making long-term life decisions. I am also Real Estate Investor who deals firsthand with the public—renters—requiring both caring and firmness when needed. I also work with various city and county committees to determine what is allowed on specific parcels. I do a ton of work throughout Spartanburg, from spearheading coat drives for kids and working with Meals on Wheels to frequently volunteering at the Spartanburg Soup Kitchen.

If elected, what are your top three priorities?

1. To voice the concerns, decisions, and priorities of my community — not my own.

2. Transparency. The community should be aware of everything that is going on since it affects them, and the revenue belongs to the citizens. No back-room deals.

3. Law enforcement support. With the major growth we have experienced, it is dangerous for our Sheriff’s Department not to grow as well.

What changes, if any, do you feel would improve the operation of this office and why?

Transparency. This will make citizens more confident, informed, and trusting of the growth taking place. This way, citizens can give their input, be heard, and ensure controlled and guided growth can continue in Spartanburg. Listening to the public. NO MORE BACK ROOM DEALS!!

Qualifications in Brief I do what I say. I am an Eagle Scout, Deacon, Volunteer firefighter, treasurer of the 1% committee, etc

What qualifies you for this office?

I am a servant leader. I am a volunteer firefighter, deacon, chairman/treasurer of 1% funds, retired Christmas in action team captain, etc. Clemson graduate and welding trade school graduate who has been self employed for over 20 years. I have been on my own since I was 15 so I believe that adversity is what gives me the drive to succeed.

If elected, what are your top three priorities?

Transparency/audit Data center/ filot reform Roads/public safety/quality of life

What changes, if any, do you feel would improve the operation of this office and why?

The website needs to have all function of government easily accessible. There seems to be too much information not openly available to the citizens; like where every disbursement of fund goes and video of council meetings is not recorded for viewing. I am accessible. I am an Eagle Scout so honesty, integrity, drive, and willingness to serve will be in everything I do. We live in the best county in the United States of America! I will vote the peoples will and not for over development/data centers, congested roads, and less police officers. I will reform FILOT use and consider impact fees on developments. We need a change in attitude of the council which starts by electing candidates who represent and listen to the citizens!
