Qualifications in BriefI feel like I have the education, experience, integrity, and honesty to do this job well.
raceUnion County Council District 1
What qualifies you for this office?
I have 48 years of experience in the workforce and two diplomas from Spartanburg Community College formerly Spartanburg Technical College which I believe would be sufficient education for the job. I also have held offices in the volunteer fire and rescue services as well as my church of which I have been a member for 35 years. I am a Notary Public for the state of South Carolina and served on the board for the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Commission of Union County. I feel like that I could be an asset to the position. Also, I am retired now and would have plenty of time to put into the duties of this position.
If elected, what are your top three priorities?
1. To be honest and transparent in all aspects of all the duties and responsibilities of this position and operations of the county.
2. To maintain the integrity of county operations by regulating what comes into the county and keep out anything that would not be of an advantage to the people of Union County.
3. To make it as affordable as possible to live and work in our county and to make it desirable for people and industries to come to our county.
What changes, if any, do you feel would improve the operation of this office and why?
I feel like all business of the county council should be as open to the public as possible and if any changes need to be made in order to do that it should be done. Everything as transparent as possible.
