For the past three and a half years, I have worked for my constituents—the people who live, work, play, and pray in Southern Greenville County. I am running for a second term as your County Council Representative to continue putting residents first, not developers or outside investors.

Protecting the Rights of the Existing Taxpaying Residents, Managing Growth, and Controlling Overdevelopment and the Resulting Burden on Our Existing Infrastructure (Roads, Safety, Schools, Green Space)

I live here too. As a tax-paying resident and business owner in District 26 for over 35 years, I am invested in our community’s future for generations to come. I promise to continue:

1) Listening only to my constituents for voting direction. 2) Fighting irresponsible development that burdens our infrastructure. 3) Finding solutions to pay for growth without increasing taxes on residents and small businesses.

We have a Comprehensive Plan that Focuses on this Growth but it has NO REGULATORY AUTHORITY. That is about to Change!

Work closely with Businesses and those Stakeholders who benefit from GROWTH to find solutions other than raising taxes to fund affordable and workforce housing in Greenville County. My District is one of two Districts in Greenville County that has room to grow and we are experiencing the majority of the growing pains to our infrastructure which is the result of this growth. Our Regulations are based on the 2020 Census population figures which has grown over 60,000 estimated in 2025. We are in the process of reviewing the Comprehensive Plan and aligning the Land Development Regulations to match with adjustments to growth. In other words, we need GROWTH TO PAY FOR GROWTH, in the form of Development Impact Fees and Fees in Lieu of Taxes and redirect budget dollars where the growth is.

Over 65% of District 26 is Rural/Low Density Residential & Agricultural land with low demand for public transportation. If development sprawl "leapfrogs" Urban & Suburban areas, it creates issues with our infrastructure since residents have to rely on their cars to work and play. As Vice Chairman of Roads, Infrastructure & Public Works, I am working on behalf of my constituents with our Greenville County Roads and SCDOT to assist in Urban & Suburban areas of our District ie. Simpsonville and Fountain Inn

I have business experience with my seat on the palmetto business association. An alternative to the chamber of commerce for many businesses. I have served on a number of several committees. I am well informed on many local and state issues. College graduate in software development and with advanced and analytical research. Blue collar worker in a fast paced in industry.

Tax Reform, Outdated LDR's, Local codes and ordnances, Infrastructure, and Rural Conservation. Greenville counties 40+ billion-dollar GDP supports a move into a fairer tax system. We should not have to rely completely on property tax as our only viable source for revenue. Our LDR's are not in spec with a booming population growth and economy. We must work to protect our way of life in rural areas by updating our LDR's and working with the community together on our future ten-year comprehensive plan which is due in two years. With a dedicated revenue stream for roads, we can guarantee a funding source for our crumbling infrastructure. Let's protect our services by not making bigger problems down the road. This can be done by several different methods, primarily with our LDR's, staying away from impact fees related to infrastructure which is passed on to homebuyers. Help plan for homes that are affordable by price in more urban areas. Let's support building up not out.

A local option sales tax that many counties in South Carolina are shifting too. It is also where property tax relief is placed on property owners in Greenville County. This plan moves us into a fair tax system where EVERYONE helps in the community to support infrastructure and services the county provides. This option also gives county more room to decide where 28% of 71% (Tax rebate to property owners). is needed from year-to-year or bi-yearly.
