My top three legislative (and grassroots efforts) for District 25 will be: (1.) closing the income and ownership gap, (2.) prioritizing housing affordability and home ownership, and (3.) small business growth and ownerships. These three will stabilize a community in desperate need of stabilizing.

1. Protect access to the ballot - oppose unnecessary barriers, protect seniors, married women, disabled voters, military families, and rural voters. 2. Modernize and expand participating - early voting, efficient absentee voting, better staffing, shorter lines and equal county resources should all be standard. 3. Support secure elections, accurate rolls with due process and fraud penalties.

I would continue to push legislation like my bill, H5215, the South Carolina Ratepayer Protection and Large Load Customer Infrastructure Accountability Act. That bill requires large load users such as AI data centers to pay their own infrastructure costs so everyday families and small businesses are not left with higher utility bills. H5215 also addresses water protection by requiring major projects to disclose projected water usage, mitigation plans, chemicals used in treatment and drought contingency plans before permits are issued.

In parts of Greenville County, rents have increased more than 20 percent over the last few years, while many working families are still earning under $50,000 a year. I will push for policies that increase access to attainable housing, protect longtime residents from being priced out.

District 25 has a higher concentration of Title I schools and fewer high-paying job opportunities compared to other areas. I will work to bring real investment into our district, strengthen workforce development, and connect residents to careers that lead to long-term stability and wealth.

Voter participation in many local elections remains low, especially in communities like District 25. I will support policies that make it easier to register, vote, and stay engaged in the process, because our democracy works best when everyone has a voice and a fair opportunity to be heard.

We should modernize voter registration through online, same-day, and automatic options to increase participation and accuracy. Protecting our resources means planning ahead, holding companies accountable, and making sure growth benefits the public, not burdens it.
