Despite lacking an endorsement from establishment groups I stand out as the truly progressive candidate for Nevada’s 2nd District, running on lived experience and a bold platform for justice, dignity, and transformative change.
What measures do you support to defend and protect voters’ rights?
I support defending voters’ rights through universalism: making both political and economic rights guaranteed for all, not privileges for a few. Our democracy is strongest when everyone—regardless of background, age, or circumstance—can fully participate. That’s why I will restore and expand the Voting Rights Act, fight voter suppression, and make voting accessible to every American. My Green Marshall Plan will provide universal basic income, healthcare, and education, ensuring no one is left behind. I’ll also fight for comprehensive immigration reform and restore voting rights for the formerly incarcerated. Universal rights unite us, strengthen democracy, and protect every voice.
What is your position on ICE and the role of Federal government?
ICE must be abolished and its resources redirected to help integrate undocumented individuals—many of whom already pay taxes—into our society. The federal government should uplift, not punish, by supporting legal pathways, job training, healthcare, and language programs for immigrants, following successful models like Canada. Abolishing ICE is not about open borders, but about opening doors to opportunity, justice, and true American values. Universal rights and real reform will strengthen our democracy and ensure every resident can become an asset to our nation.
What do you believe needs to be done to help ensure the economic strength of our state and our nation?
To ensure economic strength for Nevada and our nation, I champion the Green Marshall Plan: a bold blueprint for clean energy, water security, and universal prosperity. We’ll power every home with solar, install camouflaged wind turbines, and invest in water desalination to secure our future. Profits from these initiatives, plus fair taxes on big corporations, will fund a $1,300/month Universal Basic Income for all Nevadans. This plan will create jobs, lower bills, and position Nevada as a global leader in renewable energy, environmental justice, and economic independence for generations to come.
What federal policies, if any, would you support regarding abortion access and regulation?
I support federal policies that protect abortion access nationwide and oppose efforts to ban or restrict reproductive freedom. True family values mean economic justice: universal healthcare, paid parental leave, affordable childcare, and living wages so families can raise children without financial fear. Restricting abortion doesn’t increase birthrates—supporting families does. We must follow countries like Sweden, where strong support leads to higher birthrates and healthier families. Every American deserves the right to choose and the resources to thrive; I’ll fight for both in Congress.
Can you describe a specific example of how you have worked with individuals from different political perspectives to achieve a goal, and also how you would apply that approach in Congress?
In 2023 and 2024, I worked on Nevada’s Question 3 ballot measure—nonpartisan open primaries and top 5 ranked choice voting—alongside volunteers and community members from across the political spectrum. Similarly, I’m working with people of all backgrounds to build support for a Nevada Permanent Fund—a universal basic income funded by our state’s natural resources. By focusing on how everyone benefits, I’ve united conservatives, progressives, rural and urban Nevadans behind this idea. In Congress, I’ll use the same approach: find shared interests, build broad coalitions, and focus on solutions that transcend partisanship so every American can share in our country’s prosperity. That’s how we achieve real, lasting change—together, not divided.
