Washington is a disaster and career politicians like Scott Perry are making it worse. My plan to fight corruption in Washington includes term limits, age limits and banning Members of Congress from trading individual stocks.

Scott Perry voted to cut Medicaid. I will protect Medicaid. Scott Perry supports tariff taxes that raise prices. I support ending those tariff taxes. Scott Perry supports a national abortion ban. I will vote to protect abortion rights. Scott Perry wrote on his website that he wanted to cut Social Security benefits. I support protecting Social Security.

Scott Perry refuses to hold in person town halls. I will listen to everyone, regardless of whether they vote for me.

The Constitution gives Congress checks and balances against the executive branch. No matter which party is in the White House or has control of the US House, we need to hold the executive branch accountable. We need a constitutional amendment to end or significantly curb the President’s pardoning power. No one is above the law, not even the President. President Clinton pardoned a financier who donated to his Presidential library and President Bush pardoned a former White House staffer. President Biden pardoned his son. Even more dangerous are the pardons issued by President Trump to criminals who have gone on to commit more violent crimes. Enough is enough. Presidents should no longer have the power to pardon political allies or family.

Congressman Scott Perry supports the illegal war in Iran that is costing taxpayers more than $1 billion dollars a day and raising our gas prices. Congress needs to reassert itself in its constitutional authority to declare war. I do not support this war and believe that tax dollars should be used to help struggling Americans here at home. The US is a leader on the global stage in addressing international conflicts and humanitarian crises. Our leadership must set the tone for international cooperation through aggressive diplomacy. We should continue to promote peace, stability, and prosperity globally.

Congressman Scott Perry was the deciding vote on a bill that would cut health care for nearly 20,000 people in our area. He voted against the affordable care act subsidies and said reducing the cost of health insurance would be a “colossal mistake.” I would do the opposite. I support high-quality, affordable and accessible health care. I believe medical debt should be taken off credit reports and I support lowering the price of prescription drugs by allowing the government to negotiate prices. We also need to ban surprise billing, close the loophole for ambulance trips and improve the dispute arbitration process. You should never have to decide between putting food on the table or paying for the medical care you need.
