There are limitless possibilities for District 2’s growth and sustainability. We need a leader who is present and actively building relationships to ensure our community stays in the forefront and receives its fair share of resources. I am dedicated to being a problem solver for District 2 and connecting the dots between the issues and resources to remedy them.

As a lifelong resident of West Tuscaloosa, I have:

-Written over $350,000 in grants for local children -Led a nonprofit preserving local history and the arts -Founded a nonprofit mentorship program for girls -Founded an organization promoting wellness -Chaired the Chamber’s Nonprofit Council -Promoted business as a Chamber Ambassador -Served on the Advisory Council for Barnes YMCA

Tuscaloosa has over 2,000 men, women, and children qualifying for Section 8 housing, but no housing is currently available. I will work with property owners, the Housing Authority, and the city to create more affordable housing using existing resources.

Violent crime in Tuscaloosa often stems from simple interpersonal issues. My campaign is working to expand current mentoring initiatives to teach conflict resolution skills to at-risk populations. I seek to secure city funding to further this effort.

Families are the cornerstone of any society. My campaign will partner with local family resource centers and other organizations to ensure citizens know what resources are available to help keep their family relationships strong and healthy.
