If elected, what are your top 3 priorities?

1) I will fight against unjust water rate increases to help with cost of living for residents, families, and local businesses.

2) I will prioritize local control and protect, to the best of my ability, our cities and businesses from Sacramento efforts to control and restrict our water usage.

3) I will seek to cut waste and to be a conservative steward of our water resources and our allocated budget.

What background, experience and/or education qualify you for this elected office? (You may use your candidate statement here if desired.)

As a dedicated Public Works Commissioner in Huntington Beach, I have a proven track record of enhancing our community's infrastructure while ensuring fiscal responsibility. During my tenure, I oversaw the approval of Huntington Beach's Water Master Plan, serving nearly 200,000 residents and setting a blueprint for our city's water future. I understand the practicalities and innovations needed in water management. I am committed to fighting for local control, reducing unnecessary water rate increases, and implementing innovative, market-based solutions to secure our water future. I will prioritize transparency, accountability, and community engagement, ensuring that every decision benefits our residents.

I am honored to have the endorsement of Orange County local leaders in city government and water management. These endorsements reflect my commitment to our community and my ability to bring effective leadership to the Municipal Water District of Orange County. Together, we can achieve a more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable water system for Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, and Seal Beach.

I am proud to also have the endorsement of the Republican Party of Orange County, Lincoln Club, California Republican Assembly, and Reform California.

Vote for Pano Frousiakis for a fresh perspective and dedicated leadership in water management!

If elected, what are your top 3 priorities?

1. Ensure reliable water supplies out into the future 2. Ensure healthy and high-quality water supplies 3. Be a good steward of public money - make smart investments

What background, experience and/or education qualify you for this elected office? (You may use your candidate statement here if desired.)

I am the incumbent Division 4 director at Municipal Water District of Orange County (MWDOC), and I am running for re-election. With your vote, I hope to extend my 40+ years of service to the water industry for the benefit of all Orange County water users. As lead engineer for 37 years at MWDOC, I worked successfully with every water provider in Orange County. After retirement I was elected to the MWDOC Board, which subsequently appointed me to the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MET) Board. In my elected position as MWDOC Director I represent areas of Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach and Seal Beach. In my appointed position to the MET Board, I work to represent the 19 million residents and $1.7 trillion Southern California economy, including Orange County. As the agency primarily responsible for importing water to Southern California, the MET Board plays a critical role in the development of statewide water policy. I am committed to ongoing investments in water that will ensure the long-term reliability of our water supply while maintaining low water rates and healthy water quality. It is a big job for which my background and expertise will continue to serve you well. www.Karlforwater.com
