Yes. It will maximize opportunties for the electorate to participate.
The legislature has passed its 2050 Roadmap. Just last week the House passed a major climate infrastructure bill. THe legisalture and executive offices need to pursue every avenue to meet our 2050 climate goals.
The Housing Bond Bill, adopted by the House, takes major steps to build affordable units of housing in the state and will help to address meeting our 200,000 units of needed housing. This alone does not meet the immediate need for housing for homeless, elderly and others seeking shelter.
MA is doing the best it can to address the needs of the overwhelming influx of migrants. Finding emergency housing, not just shelter, is critical for both migrants and residents who have fallen out of their ability to pay for housing.
Southeastern MA is a transportation desert. With the delay of Southcoast rail for a year and the absence of bus transportation to and from Boston, it leaves us with only GATRA. We must fully fund GATRA and then some.
