While one would assume teacher pay would be the reason teacher turnover is so high, it may not be the real reason. Teaching is a stressful job. Students are not prepared, smart phones in class, different languages, less teacher resources, large class sizes, and more make teachers feel not supported. Programs that consider emotional, mental and physical well-being of teachers is important. A good start would be a teacher survey.
Continue with expansion of wind, solar, and water. California has had real benefits from small system dams high in the mountains. More research in energy efficient devices. More research into small nuclear reactors for the future. The Navy has had hundreds of nuclear-powered ships in operation since 1955 with no accidents.
I am willing to listen to all options. With wages tied to inflation we are heading for a financial meltdown as the demand for more money will never decrease. I was here during 1985 when oil prices crashed. Should this happen again it will cause a disaster. I do not believe we are ready for it.
I served 11 years on the Mat-Su Borough Assembly and 3 years as Deputy Mayor. I spent $10,000. of my own money challenging the borough election process. I helped rewrite Mat-Su Election Laws.

We must have both machine and hand count mandatory at the precinct level before the ballots leave the precinct. The hand count must equal the machine count. Once ballots leave the precinct without a documented hand count all bets are off.
