I am the current Clerk of District Court, appointed at the end of 2022 after long time Clerk, Shirley Faust retired. I was fortunate enough to have been mentored by her during my two and half years as her Chief Deputy. I now have over a year and half under my belt as the Clerk of District Court, and I believe I have continued to serve the public with the grace and excellence Missoulian's have come to expect from this office. I am running because I am passionate about the role of the Clerk of Court Office in the legal system and believe I have proven that I am up for the challenge.
Let's face it, the legal system can be really complicated for anyone that did not go to law school. I have a passion for providing great customer service and strive to hire like minded professionals. My staff and I understand how difficult navigating the system can be. Whether someone comes to my office on their best or worst day, we strive to ensure they receive the attention their unique situation deserves.
I understand that being called for jury duty can seem like daunting task or even an undesirable requirement. It is important to me to come up with innovative ways to simplify the entire process, start to finish. From streamlining how jurors are notified to providing multiple ways to contact my office with questions or concerns, rest assured that I, too, want to make jury duty as painless as possible.
