Port Royal Town Council ElectionThe Town Council is the five-member, governing body of the Town of Port Royal. Members of the Council serve a two-year term and are elected at-large. Any person qualified to vote in town elections is eligible to serve on the Council. Candidates may be endorsed by a political party, but do not run as a member of a party.At the first meeting of the new term, the council members elect the Mayor and Vice-Mayor for the Town. The mayor presides over the council and is recognized as the head of Town government.This year all five Council seats are available on the Port Royal Town Council. U.S. House of Representative Candidates are also on your ballot. Please note that candidates may drop out of the race up until Election Day, November 8.Early Voting begins on September 23, 45 days prior to the General Election on November 8, 2022.
