The most important issues include rising property values, rising costs of homes and ag lands, and inflation. I know citizens are concerned with tax increases. I am committed to assessing property fairly for all and specific to Owyhee County. We are not the same as surrounding counties and I understand that. I will work with the state tax commission and legislators and be an advocate for our taxpayers. I am fiscally conservative and committed to using taxpayer dollars wisely. I will manage office resources and employees well and budget appropriately.
I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in business management. I have a great deal of private sector business experience, including managing people. I have worked for Owyhee County almost 5 years and I understand the operations of the county. My current position has allowed me to work with almost every department within the county and understand the issues we are facing. I’m a lifelong Idaho resident and native of Owyhee County, as such, I understand our county, people, and land, which is extremely important in assessing property values. I also have the grit and determination to fix issues that I find and fight for the citizens of our county.
I will always be able to be reached by phone and email. I will keep regular office hours and have an open-door policy. I’m always happy to talk to citizens and I welcome their thoughts and concerns. I take customer service very seriously will ensure that my team, as the front line, is properly trained and provides excellent service. I am committed to interactions that are respectful, polite, and professional, and will listen to you. I would appreciate your vote!
