Providing county services with limited budgets and labor force shortages are huge challenges along with providing facilities for court services. Expanding the court building will allow for better service and faster processing for those in the criminal justice system. Honoring the right to a speedy trial is critical to the welfare of the citizens of Kootenai County.
I have been in office for nearly 4 years so I understand all that the job entails. Before that, I ran a small business for 14 years and spent nearly 10 years in Law Enforcement. During my time in office I have made many changes to policies and procedures to help the county provide better service to our citizens while keeping costs low. I have worked on compensation to better recruit and retain employees. Currently, I am the Chairman of the Board and will ensure citizens have an opportunity to speak their minds in a civil environment. I am leading the charge for the expansion of the Justice Center. Adding 3 new courtrooms and space for court clerks who are literally packed in a tiny area will greatly improve conditions for both workers and citizens.
My main job is to serve the citizens of Kootenai County. Weekly I speak with constituents to help solve their problems and listen to their concerns. I have and will continue to have town halls to address the most important concerns facing our community. I am available to all members of our community.

The greatest challenge is to bring normalcy back to Kootenai County politics. Extremism and Ideology have no place in our local politics. It is time to start talking, listening and working together, with an open mind.
I am a problem solver by training. My 32 years career as a System Developer has stressed the process of research, development and implementation.
I will continue to support and listen to all who wish to be heard. I will support and attend organizations that forward the goals of middle ground leadership.
