Affordable housing, the impacts of climate change, including the threat of severe wild fires and floods, and the mental health of the community are our most critical issues facing Blaine County. These issues are complex and difficult to address. They require bringing together the local governments, non-profits and businesses to work collectively. I have the ability to bring together many stakeholders and get projects done.
I have the experience and education to make me an effective leader and help me tackle challenging issues. My background is working in youth development and I understand the issues facing families and community members. I have served as Blaine County Commissioner for over 10 years. I also have a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in Public Policy.
Public participation is critically important to me. While in office I have always worked hard to encourage people to get involved in any way that they feel comfortable and provide a transparent public process. I work to make meetings welcoming and engaging. I am very available to my constituents via email, phone, and meetings.
