As Town Justice, I have presided over over 40,000 civil, traffic and criminal cases. I have the proven ability to listen to all parties, judge with compassion and treat all parties with respect. I will continue to provide independence and fairness in the Court, and conduct trials and hearings efficiently, working diligently to apply the law appropriately, and treating all those who appear in Court with impartiality, dignity and respect, and receive a fair hearing or trial.

I have over 15 years of experience in Colonie Town Court, the first three (3) as Vehicle and Traffic Prosecutor and the last 12 as Town Justice. Colonie is one of the busiest courts in New York State, and I handle over 8,000 cases per year. The cases include vehicle and traffic, criminal, landlord-tenant, small claims and local ordinance violations. I have developed a reputation for fairness and impartiality and trained new and sitting Town and Village judges, court clerks, and new and experienced attorneys on a number of different topics.

To continue to serve the residents of the Town of Colonie in a fashion they can be proud of and build on a reputation of fairness. One issue of great concern to me is the scourge of drug and alcohol addiction. I take a special interest in trying to help defendants with addiction problems stay alive by strongly encouraging treatment and commitment to recovery. While success is far from guaranteed, I do have a number of mostly young people who have straightened their lives out, become sober and productive. That is very gratifying work I promise to continue. I also take great pride in working with young people. I am a supporter of the award winning Colonie Youth Court and mentor a student each year for the Shaker High School Career Enhancement Internship Program. I also present seminars to attorneys for the Albany County Bar Association Young Lawyers Committee and guest teach law classes at The University at Albany. Educating young people on the law remains an important priority to me. logo
