Education and Experience 2007 - High School Diploma - Nelsonville-York HS 2011 - BA (History & Classical Civilization) - Ohio University 2016 - MBA - Ohio Dominican University
At Nelsonville-York, we pride ourselves on having an excellent, highly qualified faculty and staff who educate ALL of our students well. The majority of our teachers are local people who desired to make a career of educating in the community they love. In addition to great faculty, we partner with many community organizations to make sure a student's entire needs - mental, physical, emotional, social, and educational are supported. We are able to do this and keep local taxes extremely low.
As a school board member, I hope to continue to learn new ideas, best practices, and stay up to date with legislation which affects public education. I believe with any decision the Board must do what is right for all students. I am part of a team of five people with high ethical standards who work together. I also believe it is my job to support the administration, faculty, & staff at N-Y CS so they can continue to build on the great student-centered culture we have at Nelsonville-York!
Education and Experience A member of the Nelsonville-York City School Board for 11 years
At Nelsonville-York Schools we have not passed any additional operating levies for over 30 years. We have tried over the years to lessen the burden on our taxpayers by operating efficiently, remodeling and maintaining our facilities and consolidating to a single campus. By keeping our finances in order, our administration can concentrate on providing the best possible education to our children.
No specific goals other than to educate, feed, and advance our youth to better succeed. Our Superintendent is retiring in a couple of years so the future of our district will be a major decision. logo
