Biographical Information

What are the three major issues facing Cranbury, and how do you propose to address them over the next several years if elected?

How do you plan to keep property taxes from increasing while still attending to the quality of life of Cranbury residents?

How do you expect your party affiliation to affect your council work if you are elected.

What qualifies you for this position, both personally and professionally?

There are more than 3 issues in our town and what follows is a truncated list. Cranbury has thankfully recently settled its COAH obligations and has secured many new stable ratable warehouse tenants.

It is now time for Cranbury to focus on quality of life issues for all it's residents young and old.

Traffic control and pedestrian safety; increased enforcement of existing statutes, building new traffic calming infrastructure, improving existing sidewalks and lighting all of which will encourage more walkability and cycling Downtown Revitalization: encourage the creation of new local retail businesses in the downtown district and making sure the new library gets built ASAP! Maintaining our ongoing relationship with Princeton School!
The current township committee, along with the CFO, have done an amazing job at keeping our property taxes under control. We generally speaking have reasons to be optimistic that going forward we can continue a slow rate of growth of our tax burden without cutting services and here's why: -the addition of new ratable warehouse tenants in the eastern warehouse district -the 2010 2% mandated cap on property taxes is a permanent statute -I will, if elected, seek out any possible consolidation of services with local municipalities -Ambassador Murphy, if elected, has pledged to enact a income tax on those earning more than a million dollars a year I wholeheartedly support that idea. A progressive income tax will greatly reduce our property tax
My primary responsibility, if given the honor of being elected, will be to fulfill the duties of a town committee member in a town with a population of approximately 4,000 souls. Day in and day out party affiliation will not play much of a role in my decision making. However I will always stick to my guiding principle that government exists to protect and to provide services to it's people. I am not seeking office only to cut taxes and services. I am a progressive and will not hesitate to speak up on issues that I feel are important to our planet and our country. I will work hard to ensure that Cranbury be a place that ,while maintaining and celebrating its historical past, also looks forward to a diverse, vibrant and progressive future.
I grew up in West Windsor and Plainsboro I am a married father of three amazing kids (Jasper 17, Zane 14, Ronin 9) my wife Heather and I moved to Cranbury from North Jersey in 2009 to raise our kids in a town with a downtown, open spaces, excellent schools and to be near family. I am a Physician Assistant in Neurosurgery in a large trauma center in New York City, prior to becoming a PA I was a EMT and paramedic in the FDNY. I have always felt a calling to help those in need. In light of the chaos enveloping our planet and our country I feel it is time for me to step up and do my part, however small, to make the world a better place for my fellow citizens their children and mine.
