In your view, what are the biggest issues facing the Sheriff's Department at this time?

A proportion of the staff in the Sheriff's Office is permanent, i.e. protected by civil service. If you are elected, what discretion will you have in hiring staff?

As a candidate for Union County Sheriff, my goals are simple:

1. Ensure that all the men and women that serve in the Sheriff’s Department, in and out of uniform, are taken care of and receive the training they need to do the job to protect you.

2. Continue the community programs currently established by the Sheriff’s Department.

3. Address the needs and provide support to our local police departments and municipalities and fully cooperate with state and federal agencies.

For the Office of Sheriff, I ask one thing of all Union County voters, vote the person and not the party.
What I’m not about is party patronage, political nepotism and pension padding. I have no political connections with those currently running Union County and I’m not, nor have I ever been employed by Union County. I do not have any family members that are or were employed by Union County and I’m not receiving a state pension.

What I am about is serving all the residents of Union County with no political strings attached.

I served for 21 honorable years on active duty that included two tours in Iraq and multiple deployments and assignments around the world. I clearly understand what it takes to get the job done. I still live by the Army values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor and Integrity and Personal Courage. logo
