Our most important current issue is that cemetery plots are being used/purchased in Tate Township Cemetery faster than anticipated. I suggest that the Township acquire more property for future use.
We, in Tate Township, already share Fire, EMS, Road, and Cemetery equipment. We
We need to support the drug education programs in our schools. Also, we need to continue our support of our local law enforcement.

The most important issue facing Tate Township is the destruction of thousands of healthy trees. The USDA has been in Tate Township for more than four years to eradicate the Asian Longhorned Beetle and have cut close to 97,000 trees with only approximately 18,000 known infested. We have the right to keep our non-infested trees. Our government has the responsibility to inform residents of all of their options. I believe the Tate Township residents need to stay informed on what’s happening in their community. I have and will attend the public meetings with the USDA. Together we can eradicate this pest responsibly!
I believe that in a lot of communities emergency services can and should be be consolidated. Tate Township emergency service is excellent and located in the middle of Bethel. Due to logistics it wouldn't be feasible to consolidate with a neighboring communities. Williamsburg and Felicity are too far away to share day to day emergency services.
We should locally follow up on The Mental Health Board's four part plan with an emphasis on cutting the supply of heroin. To protect the residents we need to have a citizens night watch for break-ins. We need to protect our homes and out building from burglary. We need to create and attract jobs for our residents to keep our community focused on positive aspects of life. Busy successful people rarely turn to drugs.

On the business side we need to pursue getting sewer and natural gas on sr 125. This would attract business opportunity for our community. Also we have to attack the heroine issue!
I have no problem with shared ownership with surrounding communities
I wish I had the answer. This is a difficult subject. Make our children more aware of the dangers and keep educating them on this subject

The most important issue facing Tate Township is the necessary increase for our tax base by way of more industry and real estate development. We should NOT ask the voters { who elect, support and choose by their votes } , and the non-voting residents who go along with the majority rule } for an increase of taxes, but rather { , we, as a community should } find several more small businesses or housing projects and the building of residential subdivisions that will be easily assimilated into our community. This can be accomplished by contacting real estate companies, { housing } developers, { construction companies } and potential businesses through our County Commissioners and { our } hard work.
The consolidation of all services and equipment is vital for the benefit of our residents. Cost saving is a must. We have to get more services for less money. This is how we will grow { or build / or increase our productivity / or efficiency in } our community with smaller dollars { to increase our forward motion} to move forward . We ( Bethel Tate Township ), shall maintain our identity while continuing to be part of a larger community. Tate Township's Trustees will { and do, } work with their neighbors.
To help reduce this disease on our society , it will take all four of the government agencies working together. The federal drug agency { the DEA } must work { fight and be effective } to reduce the supply of illegal opiates coming { traveling } into our country, { the United States of America / or the USA } The States and Counties must work to stop the large distribution chains { drug cartels } and finally, on the local level, we must put more feet { Police enforcement } on the ground { on our streets to protect our people /or residents. } This problem can be overwhelming at all levels, and therefore { causing } success for drug dealers and manufacturers, but, if we have better rehab programs, better surveillance and more police enforcement of our laws, } it { this } will {can }curb this disease. Finally, we shall { be able } to help our families help { to } educate } their { own } children about the terrible results of drug addiction of any kind.
