I am a forward thinking, industrious idea man. Forthright and fair. With a twinkling of irreverence, I look to the past for guidance, the present for ideas, and the future for hope. I am a college educated small business owner, Information Technology worker, Husband and Father. -That's the short version of my experience and skills. But all the intricacies there-in apply to the position of Councilman, and will be put to use when considering the various topics that arise, and pursuing the opportunities for the Village at large. .
Old ways. Changing times. Drugs. And a shortage of progressive, modern foresight. Those are the problems I have witnessed in the 11 years we have lived in the village. Batavia can't sit back and watch the world change if it really expects to have any quality residents left in the next 20 years..many rural Mid-Western towns and villages are having their best talent vacate for large cities, never to return. In order to prevent this from happening we need to attract modern, high-paying employment opportunities to the area. And putting together a plan to capture the attention of industries is what I want to be a part of. Putting that plan in place and making progress through action is what I want to help make happen.
I care about preservation. I am deeply sentimental. I care about modernization. I am an IT professional. I care about history and yet I have deep concern for the future of our village, and the opportunities it will or will not afford its residents. I have six children and have put two through the Batavia school district, and have four more in various stages of life. Rebuilding and stabilizing the Village is what I am most concerned about, from an infrastructure perspective, to a quality of life perspective. I am not content to sit back and continue to reside in a village rapidly becoming a retirement community and a section 8 housing project inside of one border. Bringing ideas for the return of wealth and jobs in a post-manufacturing era are my action plan. The return of a vivacious main street, a strong tax base from industry and jobs, ideas for making the Village of Batavia a wonderful place to live, raise a family, and to work..These are my priorities.

Work well with people in solving problems. Have 20 plus years on council in different capacities, Council Member, Past Mayor, and Vice Mayor.
The Village faces a challenge to revitalize main street with new business. A need to preserve our historic district as well as dealing with vacant properties, within the community. To promote by community revitalization programs. To insure the Infrastructure to support new business and or expansion of business.
To promote new business. To continue to support community development. To make sure that the existing Village services are to continue for the community.
