• A county government that serves all of the people of Westchester, not just the very wealthy few • Passing a real budget that provides needed services without gimmicks or accounting tricks • Investing in wind, solar and other cutting edge technologies to grow jobs • Access to affordable housing and vital county services that have been lost due to Trump and Republicans on the county legislature • Developing a sensible plan for closing Indian Point that makes sure it's done safely, keeps the current workers, and finds money to replace the lost taxes • Maintaining county control of the airport to prevent "LaGuardia North" type expansion • Paid sick-leave for all workers • Access to affordable healthcare for all residents • Assuring immigrant rights to maintain a safer community. • Job protection and creation with an eye to the future. • Preserving our environment to protect our health and fight climate change
• I will ensure a sensible budget that provides needed services without placing county assets at risk. Privatizing the Westchester County Airport will not benefit most residents but will create incentives for cost-cuts on safety and environmental protections and will diminish future county income. • Fair County Taxes. A realistic budget is only half the battle. I will strive to ensure a fair tax system is implemented that allows for managed spending to accommodate Westchester’s people and businesses and ensure that a fair tax is paid by all. Instead our GOP county administration is removing needed county positions. • Westchester government seem intent on serving the handful of residents who don't rely on county services: those that can afford a private education for their children, receive good health benefits from their jobs, and don’t have to rely on mass transportation. I will provide a strong voice for the middle- and working-class families that depend on these services and more. logo
