Experience (300 characters max) U.S.Army Veteran; Northport American Legion Commander; Representative to the Stevens County Veterans Advisory Board; Awards in Public Speaking; Past Member/Chairman of Various Clubs & Organizations; Graduated B.C.T.I (Lacey, WA; Class 0799B); I have ALWAYS Supported THIS Town & ALL THE Businesses.
I was asked if I would EVER run for Mayor of Northport. Of Course I had never even CONSIDERED running for ANY Political Office. Friend says: "I think YOU would make a GREAT Mayor! You have what it takes to be a Friendly Leader. You have no problems talking to people or being a facilitator! You're Opinions are sought-out and Valued by MANY!"

A Military background; Leadership/Public Speaking Skills; Basic Knowledge of Political Rights; Being Mayor would bring Change & Fresh Air into our Town!
1st: Advertising for "In-Town" Camping; When we have "No-Camping!" (Only 5th Wheels/RV's @ the City Park): Absolutely, NO place for Tents! Northport gets Backpackers, Bikers, Campers and Vacationers...every Summer!

2nd: Old Buildings that need to be Purchased/Renovated for Historical Registry Purposes!

3rd: (Tourism! ) We want to Develop a Plan, to Build/Create a "Grand" Idea that will Attract Tourism into Northport. We need to circumvent the Financial Revenue in Our Town!
Tourism! Northport relies on Hwy 25 Traffic from the North and the South. IF IT WASN'T FOR THE the Financial Support of: Our Neighbors from the North / Canada; Truckers; Vacationers Traveling thru Northport; Seasonal Hunters; Fisherman; Scheduled Town Events and Local Construction Activity with the D.O.T. / Workers...THERE would be an EXTREMELY SMALL amount of Financial Revenue "Trickling" thru the pockets of our Local Business Owners! We NEED to BUILD & BEAUTIFY Northport for Tourist!
Seniors are why WE are here! They are our PAST and PRESENT! They are ALL to be HONORED and THANKED! SENIORS give us "Stories from the Past" and help us all try to think/contemplate about OUR Future! We hear about "What Life was like for them!" We hear about "How they worked their whole Life / Retired; And for What? A "Cheap Fake-Gold Watch, A Plaque with their name engraved on it and a $776.00 Social Security Check" to Live-on; in a small, one-bedroom apartment?

Seniors Deserve...Attention, Adoration, Kindness, Free-Healthcare & Prescriptions, Free Meals on Wheels and Low Income OR Affordable Housing, that suits their Medical and/or Mental Needs!

Seniors shouldn't have to "Suffer" or "Beg" for help! They are what makes us, who we are today! So...wear a lapel pin, that says: "Have you HUGGED a Senior Citizen Today?"

This is AMERICA! OUR COUNTRY was BUILT BY IMMIGRANTS and BEGAN with IMMIGRANTS! WHO are WE to TELL someone that they can't LIVE here, because they weren't BORN on U.S. Soil. We are a Nation of MULTI-CULTURES; MULTI-RELIGIONS & MULTI-RACE! Yes, I understand "FEAR" has been planted into the minds of Millions of People by Political Officials. Everyone's Health & Safety is a concern with the Arrival of Immigrants! They want FREEDOM and A New Life. Just LIKE 90% of OUR Ancestors DID! A M E R I C A

The Town of Northport, dates back to the Mid to Late 1880's! A Majority of our Homes are MORE than 50+ years old. We are a small Town. (Population under 300...that actually live IN-Town) We have MANY Old Buildings that are Registered with the "National Historical Society" that are in need of repair.

And of EVERYONE in WA now, knows...Our Bridge over the Columbia being REPAIRED as we speak!

Well...Northport really doesn't deal with Homelessness. Oh...We've had "Drifter's" walk-in to Town and try to stand at the gas station and bum a ride somewhere...but, they usually just hook-up with a local or someone driving in the diretion they want to go.

I'm's just that Northport doesn't have a homelessness problem, right now!
