I believe that the most important quality in a Judge is for them to have the appropriate Judicial temperament.
I would recuse myself from any case in which there would be the appearance of impropriety.
I will continue my work on the Pro Bono Committee with York County Bar Association and my involvement with the York County Bar Association with provides funds for access to equal justice in York County. I will also continue to work to improve the self help center of the York County Judicial Center.

Ultimately, the most important quality is to discern the truth. A judge should be insightful to know when to use discretion. A judge must be patient to listen without having prejudged the facts or circumstances. A judge must be filled with insight from life and legal experiences, empathetic, open-minded, and courageous enough to render fair, yet firm, judgment that will bring understanding and faith in the process, restoration, restitution, as needed, and would lessen recidivism.
If I had a personal interest in a business or a person in a case assigned to me. If I was personally involved in a case as a lawyer. If my knowledge about the parties or the facts of the case were gained outside of the court proceedings and would cloud my judgment so that I could not simply rely on the facts presented within the case. Although I would avoid unjustified ex-parte communications (some are justified and allowed by rule or law), if it occurs, then I would recuse myself.
Continue community involvement through community, legal, and professional boards to learn what accessibility problems exist or persist despite attempts to correct. Keep reviewing. Establish policies to engage certified interpreters and to translate court-related documents earlier in the judicial process especially in criminal and family matters affecting constitutional rights to family, liberty, and property. Expand and improve the self-help centers for self-representation.
