Why are you running for this office, and what training, experience and skills would you bring to this office?

Property taxes are a significant funding source for the city budget. In the 2026 General Election, voters will decide whether to pass a constitutional amendment for a 50% reduction in property taxation. How would your budget priorities change if the amendment passes or other tax reduction legislation is proposed by the legislature?

What additional ordinances do you think the city needs and/or what ordinances do you think should be repealed?

At the end of your term, what are three measurable things you want residents to point to and say, "this is what changed because you were a city council member"?

I believe Ward 1 deserves a voice that listens, works and brings people together. I have been on City Council for eight years and I have been working hard for a stronger Rock Springs.
To balance a budget, we will likely shift our priorities in the following ways: Strict Prioritization of Public Safety Deferred Infrastructure Maintenance Shifting the Burden to Alternative Fees Reliance on State Backfills or Sales Tax Hikes
The City of Rock Springs could benefit from an updated ordinance focused on modernizing property maintenance and removing outdated rules regarding zoning, building codes and traffic safety goals.
I want to be remembered for as a dedicated public servant who improved their community quality of life, maintained high ethical standards, and made fair, thoughtful decisions for the long term good for the people of Rock Springs. I am also hoping that we can get Bitter Creek completed for the people that live in the flood plain. Also a leader for Ward 1 that had high integrity who listened closely to constituents but had the courage to make tough, objective choices even those choices that were unpopular.

I am running primarily because I believe that in order to have change, then change has to occur on all levels. I am a local man. Born and raised here in Rock Springs. I am local retailer so I bring conflict resolution, negotiations, and common courtesy to the table.

Honestly I am unsure. As part of the over all municipal council I am unsure how much say to the actual budget I would have.

But rest assured if the numbers do not make sense I will do the work until I under stand them.
Originates can be tricky in my opinion. Because one may be good for some, and not to others. I plan to look at the ones covered by Council Meetings over the past year. Or any oridnace that has been long standing. Reason for this being adaptability and overhauling to fit to current demographic and economic realities are a must.
Better understanding of the how and why behind choices that affect OUR home. Transparency of financial Accounting. And leaving OUR home better for the next generations who will call Rock Springs HOME.
