I’m a parent, community volunteer, and licensed social worker, and I care deeply about our local schools and the families who make up our community. As a mom, I want my children and every child in our schools to feel safe, supported, included, and able to learn. My work in prevention and with local families has taught me the value of listening, working together, and finding practical solutions. I’m running for school board because I want to be a thoughtful voice for families, support our educators, and help make sure our schools are safe, welcoming places where kids can thrive.
I think our biggest priorities should be keeping students safe, making sure they are getting a strong education, and supporting the teachers and staff who work with our kids every day. I also think families need to feel heard and kept informed about what is happening in our schools. If elected, I would take the time to listen to parents, students, teachers, and staff before making decisions. I would ask questions, work with the other board members, and focus on what is best for our students and families while being mindful of how we use our community’s resources.
