SCIO TOWNSHIPScio Township Road, Bridge, and Culvert Improvement Millage ProposalShall the limitation on the amount of taxes which may be imposed each year for all purposes on real and personal property in Scio Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, be increased as provided in Section 6, Article IX of the Michigan Constitution by the levy 0.5 mills ($0.50 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of six (6) years, beginning with the December 1, 2027 tax levy and continuing through 2032 inclusive, for the purpose of providing dedicated township funding to be used to leverage other sources including private, Washtenaw County, or the state of Michigan, for the maintenance, repair, preservation, reconstruction, and improvement of local public roads as certified by Michigan Department of Transportation, bridges, bike lanes, crosswalks, and culverts within the Township, including related engineering, inspections, drainage, and administrative costs?This millage is estimated to raise approximately $984,536.00 in the first year the millage is levied.
