2026 Parks and Recreation Millage (GPP)
This millage proposal would allow the City of Grosse Pointe Park to levy 0.65 Mill for the purpose of, maintaining, preserving, repairing, replacing, and extending the useful life of the parks and recreation facilities located within the City of Grosse Pointe Park.Shall the City of Grosse Pointe Park, Wayne County, Michigan, increase the limitation on the total amount of general ad valorem taxes which may be imposed for all purposes in Article IX, Section 6 of the Michigan Constitution of 1963, as amended, by 0.65 Mill ($0.65 per $1,000.00 of taxable value) for a period of seven (7) years (2027 through 2033, inclusive), which would provide an estimated revenue of $562,000.00 in its first year if approved and levied, for the purpose of, maintaining, preserving, repairing, replacing, improving, upgrading, and extending the useful life of the parks and recreation facilities located within the City of Grosse Pointe Park, of which a portion will be disbursed to the City of Grosse Pointe Park Downtown Development Authority and the City of Grosse Pointe Park Tax Increment Financing Authority.
