Information access is fundamental to an informed community and serving on the library board is my way of supporting that philosophy. I've been a member of the FADL Board of Directors since 2023 and am running to continue that service to our region's residents and students. In my time on the board, we've been able to expand collections, make programs accessible to every member of our community, and negotiate a fair CBA that works for both our staff and our tax payers.

By day I like to think I make a difference by marketing my company's work in education facility design, helping academic institutions across North America achieve safe, sustainable learning environments that people want to be in. Before joining the architecture and construction industry, I spent nearly a decade as a reporter. I'm an Oakland University alumna with a B.A. in English and Journalism.

The most important role I play, however, is that of mom to my daughters. My family has lived in Ferndale since 2012.

We've done tremendous work over the last four years at FADL and the recently passed millages ensure we can continue doing so in a safe, responsive building and with expanded resources and programming designed for all age groups and interests.

My priorities are: (1) To protect our community's access to resources, information, and reading material, making sure our patrons have a safe and reliable place to explore their interests. (2) Use our precious capital improvement dollars to ensure the library's building, infrastructure and property are not only maintained but improved upon in a way that meets the needs of our community. (3) Careful investment in impactful programs and resources that evolve with technology, industry, and civic engagement while mirroring Ferndale's vibrant culture.
