Provide biographical information and explain why you are running for village council and relevant qualities and skills you would bring to the position.
What are the top three (3) priority issues facing your village, and what actions would you, as a village official, take regarding each of them?
My husband and I moved to Franklin in 1993. I joined the Village Council in 2012 after serving on the planning commission for several years. I served as Village President from 2016-2020 and have continued as a trustee since then. The opportunity to be part of the Village leadership while representing the interests and priorities of Village residents has been an important part of my life in the Village. I'd like to continue to have a positive impact on sustaining our liveable and charming village.
The economic health of our Village Center continues to be a priority for me. Franklin residents want to be able to access basic services such as food, coffee, recreation and local government services as well as enjoy cultural events close to home. I am committed to keep working with other trustees and volunteer organizations to build a healthy downtown.
Even though Villagers approved a police millage that enables us to assure continuing excellent police services, I think confidence in the Village Council is low. I will continue to support town hall meetings, listening sessions, creative polling and other ways to ensure we hear and then act on residents' perspectives.
Lastly, I learned the importance of maintaining the Village's character, one of the reasons people move to Franklin, during the roads and downtown streetscaping some years ago. I am committed to finding ways to preserve the historic charm and provide technology and services our residents want.

I'm running for Franklin Village Trustee because I want to contribute to the community my family and I have chosen to call home. I will bring a thoughtful, collaborative voice to the Council that respects Franklin's history while remaining committed to responsible progress.
