I am a graduate of Troy High School, the University of Colorado-Boulder, and Michigan State University Detroit College of Law. Prior to my election to the 52-4 District Court in 2014, I practiced family and criminal law for more than a decade at the Law Offices of Donald E. McGinnis, Jr., P.C. I also served on the Troy City Council and was selected by my colleagues to serve as Mayor Pro Tern. I have been active in the Oakland County Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, and numerous professional organizations. My community service includes mentoring youth, providing pro bono legal services, and supporting organizations such as Focus Hope. I currently serve as a District Court Judge for Troy and Clawson.

Before taking the bench, I practiced law in Oakland County for more than eleven years, concentrating primarily in family and criminal law. My clients included individuals and families facing a wide range of legal challenges, from divorce and custody matters to misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. My practice required regular appearances in district, circuit, and family courts throughout southeastern Michigan, with a primary focus in Oakland County. Since being elected to the bench in 2014, I have presided over criminal, civil, and traffic matters and currently oversee the court's Treatment Court program and Operation Drive program. These experiences have provided me with a broad understanding of the legal system and the diverse needs of those who appear before the court.

For the past twelve years, I have been honored to serve the residents of Troy and Clawson as a District Court Judge. I have worked closely with community partners through our Treatment Court program to promote accountability, rehabilitation, and public safety. If I am re-elected, I will remain committed to professionalism, maintaining a judicial temperament, and the fair administration of justice. I respectfully ask for the opportunity to continue serving our community.
