STERLING HEIGHTS FILLING A VACANCY OF 2 YEARS OR MORE IN ELECTIVE OFFICE
Shall the City Charter be amended to require that any vacancy in elective office be filled by a special election on the next regular election date provided by state law that is more than 180 days from the date of the occurrence of the vacancy when either an appointment is not made by City Council to fill the unexpired term of office, or when 2 or more years remain in the unexpired term of office?
