As a City Council Member, I am responsible for reviewing and adopting resolutions and ordinances that promote the welfare and safety of Centerton and its residents. This includes zoning, land use, streets, roads, trails and other areas that shape our city. Council Members must understand our future land use plans and ensure ordinances align with them. We are also responsible for adopting and overseeing the city budget, including reviewing monthly financial reports. Most importantly, we must come to each meeting prepared, understand the issues before us and make informed decisions that reflect the needs and priorities of the citizens we represent. Our decisions help shape Centerton’s future.

It has been an honor to serve on City Council for 17 years. I have experienced our city’s growth firsthand and worked through the challenges that have come with it. I know how to navigate future changes. My experience with resolutions and ordinances is key to making informed decisions for our city. I diligently review monthly financial reports to keep us on track with our budget, ask questions about expenses and monitor revenues. As Director of the Centerton Area Chamber, I work firsthand with business owners and hear their successes and challenges. Centerton is where I live, work and support local businesses, and I am committed to seeing it succeed. I bring public service and business experience to every decision I make for Centerton.

As with any municipality, Centerton has had great successes and difficult challenges. My priority will be staying engaged and informed by attending planning and utility meetings, listening firsthand and understanding what is being considered before decisions are made. As the Downtown Master Plan moves forward, I will work to see that vision implemented. This plan can help guide what we want Centerton to be 20, 30 years from now and beyond, while supporting our residents, employees and current and future businesses. My goal is to build on the progress we have already made while preparing Centerton for what comes next. I want our growth to be sustainable, well planned and beneficial to the people who live and work here.

The City Council’s primary responsibility is to represent the people of Centerton and make decisions that promote the city’s long-term well-being. Council members adopt ordinances, approve the city budget, oversee the responsible use of taxpayer dollars, and make decisions concerning public safety, infrastructure, zoning, and responsible growth. Just as importantly, a council member should listen to residents, ask thoughtful questions, work cooperatively with city leadership, and ensure that local government operates openly and transparently. I believe the office requires careful preparation, sound judgment, and a commitment to putting the interests of Centerton residents first.

As a small-business owner of three successful businesses and licensed real estate broker, I have experience managing budgets, leading employees, solving problems, and making decisions that affect families, businesses, and our community. My work in real estate has also given me firsthand knowledge of development, property rights, zoning, infrastructure, and the challenges that come with rapid growth. I hold a bachelor’s degree in International Communication and an MBA, which have strengthened my ability to communicate effectively, evaluate financial decisions, and work with people from different backgrounds.

The first thing I plan to improve is how Centerton manages growth through its zoning decisions, with public safety as the top priority. Growth is inevitable, but it must be thoughtful and supported by adequate roads, drainage, utilities, and emergency services. I will carefully review proposed developments, listen to nearby residents, and work with city staff, first responders, and fellow council members to understand each project’s impact before casting my vote. I will advocate for clear and consistently enforced zoning standards that protect established neighborhoods, preserve property rights, and ensure police and fire services can keep pace with development. My goal is not to stop growth, but to make sure Centerton grows responsibly.
